This course introduces the fundamental principles and applications of fluid mechanics. Topics include fluid properties, fluid statics, kinematics of fluid flow, and fluid dynamics. Students will learn to analyze fluid behavior using the conservation laws of mass, momentum, and energy. The course covers laminar and turbulent flows, flow in pipes and channels, dimensional analysis, and similitude. Practical applications in engineering systems such as pumps, turbines, and aerodynamic flows are also discussed. Emphasis is placed on problem-solving and real-world fluid mechanics scenarios.
